Places for Everyone

As you may be aware, the grand plan for land use in the Greater Manchester area including Bolton and Horwich is being examined in public inquiry at the moment.


The grand plan is called Places for Everyone.


It has been drawn to our attention by the organisation 'Save Manchester's Green Belt' that the commitment to the preservation of green belt land is not as strong as it could be.

'Save Manchester's Green Belt' has written an open letter in an attempt to persuade local MPs in the Labour Party, who may have leverage in the area over Labour Party policy on development, to support the preservation of green belt in this area.

It is our recommendation that this development should not proceed until a proper assessment of air quality has been undertaken that uses multiple points for verification.
